A Day In May 19

The buzzing of the alarm clocks awaken me. It's time to get up and took an early morning bath. With the turning on the shower, the gushing of the water fallen on me like a waterfall. The smell of the refreshing fragrance of dettol filled the air as i cleaned myself. I took a towel and wrapped around my waist. i gelled my hair and dressed to the best for the starting of my day.

I reached office and thumbprint to clock in. My handphone vibrated in my pocket as a morning call came in. Hey! I am now in Kuching. That was my best friend. Since i am working and i can't go off, so breakfast was not possible with my friend. I do what i had to do for that morning and waited for time to clock out to meet my friend.

I picked up my friend and we went to had fried rice with fried shrimp pieced into stick in a set of three, a chicken wing with meat stuffed inside as a makeover, a fried egg and a portion of meat cooked with sweet sauce. My friend had "Huan Chu Tng" and I ordered a green beans drink to detoxify my body. The food was good, savoury and delicious. Ooops! Talking about that reminded me that I forgot to look at the name of the shop although we had been there many times.

We talked over lunch and then decided to go to Parkson in Riverside Majestic to make a spectacle at Eyesight Optic. I chose a frame for my friend and as I knew the boss, I got a good bargain but it burns a hole in my friend's pocket. We walked around in Parkson going through the various department while waiting for the spectacle to be ready in half an hour. We enjoyed the window shopping and collected the spectacles.

My hair was long and curly as it as overgrown over weeks. So we drove to Wisma Saberkas to had my hair cut. The hairstylist showed his skill and trimmed my hair. My new image makes me look young. Going out from the hairstylist's shop, I had an intention to look for silver wears. As we walked around, I ended up buying a stainless steel ring to put on my fourth finger and a silver chain around my neck.

After the shopping spree, we make an appointment for a body massage of two. Our muscles was stiff and tough. Reaching there, we layed on the bed for a room of two. The smell of the massage oil was poured and rubbed onto the body. With the techniques and the art of massaging, I felt so relaxed and was relieved from my muscles ache. Feeling so good, so comforted, so relaxed, the stress was gone. When the session ended, we are given a bottled of mineral water to drink.

We continued to E-Mart, the new supermarket in Matang. There are many small stores inside this big building but it was hot and heaty. There are no air conditioners except with the blowing of a few big fans to cool down the place. Nothing much to see at the small stores here, so we decided to go into the supermarket. We walked around and ended up in the cashier counter paying for two packets of garlic bread. A packet of the garlic bread was opened inside the car as we drove our way back and munched it in our mouth. Night fall and both of us felt hungry. We decided to had our dinner at a place called Kopi Kupi.

We looked at the menu and we ordered black peppered shoulder lamb. The lighting was dimmed and the environment was airy. When dinner was served, the black peppered lamb shoulder came with a potatoes whip, colesaw and cucumbers. We acted like Westerners, using knife and fork to cut and slice up the meat and not forgetting our table manners. The meat was a bit too tough and the black pepper sauce is not thick enough. Despite all these, I enjoyed the meal.

It was a memorable Tuesday on the 19 May 2009.
